Recently I started facing trouble connecting to my office network using Juniper network connect, after upgrading my PC to windows 8. I started getting errors like 'nc.app.windows 23712' . I did try rebooting my PC which did not work.
Steps to try if you are facing any issues with juniper network connect
1) Uninstall Juniper(juniper network connect 7.1.0) from programs and features.
2) delete file -> c:\windows\system32\drivers\dsNcAdpt.sys
3) reboot system and try installing network connect again.
else you could also try these steps too
1) Stop firewall
2) open cmd and type 'net stop bfe'
3) go to services and manually stop these services
Base Filtering Engine
IPSec Policy Agent
Windows Firewall
IKE and Auth IPSec Keying Modules
Try connecting again, if it works you can start back all these services. Good Luck !!
